Kimberly Hollis was selected as the Orange Beach Elementary School 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Hollis currently teaches kindergarten. Mrs. Hollis graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She taught third grade at Gulf Shores Elementary and Orange Beach Elementary for three years before teaching kindergarten. She has taught kindergarten for 12 years.
Mrs. Hollis is on the Baldwin County Advisory Committee for Kindergarten. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. This year she was awarded the Star Light award for an innovative arts program.
Mrs. Hollis is a very involved member of the community. She was the 2001 Junior Women's Club Volunteer of the Year. She has participated in Relay for Life since 1996 and has served as a team captain four times. She also participates in the Spring Fever Chase, Harvest Festival, helps coach different sports for the city of Gulf Shores, and is actively involved at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church.
