Kindergarten students at Orange Beach Elementary School have had the opportunity to learn bicycle safety with Orange Beach Police Officer Joey Brown during their Physical Education class time.
Listed are some bicycle safety tips that were covered with all three kindergarten classes:
Always ride a bike while a parent or older sibling are present.
Always wear a properly fitted equipment (helmet, elbow pads, knee pads)
Never wear loose clothing or shoelaces: might get caught in the bike chain
Students were taught to obey all traffic laws, including traffic signs and signals.
Each student participated and completed a bicycle obstacle course.
Each student completed a student activity work sheet. (Coloring Activity)
Officer Brown would like to say a special word of thanks to the teachers for all of their assistance in making bike safety a success!
